Four: In Which Klaus is Quietly Furious at Various People
[Note: this is backdated to the morning after this. So, Tuesday.]
[Action for the Household]
[Waking up in bed with the sun shining and birds singing is more infuriating than he thought it would be. He knows about how nobody ever stays dead in Mayfield -- he's been here long enough -- but there's still something so mocking about the whole affair. Nothing about this feels right -- and this coming from a man who's been reanimated at least once! This is nothing like that. There's no revivification rush, just that faint, constant feeling of unease and annoyance. And a pounding headache. Nothing for it but to get out of bed, get dressed, and go downstairs in search of his not!family. Naturally, any damage from the fight the previous day has been 'magically' fixed during the night. The house looks pristine. Ugh.]
Chrome? Are you here?
DuPree? Care to explain why you failed to help me yesterday?
[He's not angry, DuPree. He's just disappointed.]
[Phone; Filtered to Theta]
You are unhurt, I hope?
[It may just be how the phones make his voice sound, but his tone comes across as rather... icy.]
[Phone; Unfiltered]
Would the white-haired man who killed me for no discernable reason please explain himself? I am willing to listen -- for a quickly-closing window of time.
